1. Generation Y consisted of people born between the years 1977-1994. There are about 71 million people in the world that are part of this generation. These kids are generally known as sophisticated, good with technology, and immune to traditional marketing and sales pitches. Generation Y people are more racially and ethnically diverse than other generations and they are less brand loyal. Those who grow up in a dual income family or a single parent family tend to be more involved in family purchases. One in nine Generation Y kids has a credit card that is co-signed by a parent.
